Heron-Allen, Edward [1898]
Edward Heron-Allen (1861–1943) published three volumes on the Rubáiyát. The first one was reprinted within six months in a revised and enlarged edition, including an essay that had appeared as a pamphlet called 'Some sidelights'. Heron-Allen was a man with a wide range of hobbies and interests, such as Persian literature, marine zoology, meteorology and heraldry to mention only a few.
